“Farm” to Table: Pesto Pasta with Tomatoes

Fresh basil and garden tomatoes

Pesto Ingredients:

  • Basil
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Pine Nuts (or whatever nuts you have on hand, we used walnuts tonight)
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Kosher salt
  • Black pepper

Add ingredients to a food processor tasting as you go until you reach your desired flavor and texture. This is great on pastas, as a pizza base, over meatballs, your options are endless. If you make a large batch it freezes really well for future use when the garden is out of season.
