Blended Salsa

Ingredients:

  • 5 Cans S&W Mexican Stew Tomatoes (small cut)
  • 1 Small Red Onion (cubed)
  • 2 Yellow Chilies
  • 2 Jalapeno Peppers
  • 1 Bundle Cilantro (rinsed and drained)
  • Several cloves of peeled fresh garlic (measure with your heart)
  • Olive Oil (to taste)
  • Garlic Salt (to taste)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • splash fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  • roast chilies/peppers on the stove top until the skins are slighly blackened then add to blender
  • Chop the following in the blender
    • S&W Mexican Stew Tomatoes
    • red onion
    • Handful of cilantro (pull leaves off stem)
    • yellow chili
    • jalapeno pepper
    • fresh garlic
    • Garlic salt
    • Salt
    • Olive Oil
    • lemon juice to brighten mixture (optional)
  • Repeat until you reach your desired texture.
    • if the onions or garlic end up being too strong, adding more canned tomatoes will help solve the issue.
